In which Twiggy knows what she wants.

Why is it that whenever a birthday or Christmas rolls around, family and friends will ask me, "What do you want? :D" and I gape at them stupidly and say, "Um... Iunno. I have everything I want already. :x"

And then you know, like a month or two after the fact I'll realize that I know precisely want I want.

For example, more Hannari Tofu to keep Yakitofu-kun company. ♥

And now, after spending wayyy too many hours on wikipedia jumping between the main Batman article and a fair amount of related links (eg. batsuit, batmobile, batcave...), I've suddenly realized my desperate, fervent need for Batman: The Animated Series on DVD. The whole goddamned thing is what I need. And in the future I might consider adopting Batman Beyond into my home too. I have too big of a soft spot for Old!Bruce and Terry McGinnis. And I read on the wiki that Terry might officially start appearing in the DCU, which is also very very cool. But um. Classic, epic, legendary animated Batman first please.

It is strange. I spent a very large part of my life preferring Spiderman over Batman, probably because I watched Spiderman: The Animated Series later in my childhood so I can remember more of it. And besides, Spiderman has "real" superpowers. But I guess now, especially being all "zomg!psychmajor!" and being more interested in the characters than the adventures, Batman has taken over top superhero spot in my head. Batman has every other superhero beat in the "issues" department. He (and pretty much everyone related to him) has some serious issues, methinks. :x

Of course, that's not to say that Spidey gets no more love though, because I love that wall-crawler too. Heck, I love a lot of spandex-clad folk. ♥ Although I have far less love for Superman... but that is another story and I probably shouldn't think too much about it lest I get convinced otherwise and my universe comes tumbling apart or something.

Anyway, I must get a hold of this 1992 series in its entirety. Every fuzzy snippet that I snatch up from my memory is just pure win. And it probably heralds the beginning of the vast amounts of cartoon violence I was exposed to as a kid, which is totally a positive. :Dv

*grabby hands*, rambles, superhero love
