Rune Reading

I am at work and a book I ordered (A Practical Guide To The Runes) came in so I was reminded to post this entry.
This past weekend I was on a mini-vacation in Ocean Shores, Washington. Of course, since I have never been on this side of the country, I had already planned on going to the beach and at the very least placing my hands in the Pacific Ocean. The thought came to me that I could use some Ocean Water to charge (and cleanse) my Runes. I was ambivalent on the idea of cleansing as I have always thought that tools of this nature "know" when their owner has possession of them and any information revealed comes from divinity who of course DEFINITELY knows who is the querent. However, I thought about how powerful charging them with water from the Ocean could be.
I grabbed my runes and spread them on the table, glyph side down (I don't have a reading cloth just yet, but I am waiting for one to come to me). I begin to run my hands over them and spread them out while asking if they would like to be cleansed in the ocean. Like something out of a movie, the Signal's, Ansuz rune kinda stuck to my fingers and flipped over.

Most importantly:

Also Ansuz is the first of the thirteen Runes that make up the Cycle Of Initiation, Runes that focus upon the mechanism of self-change.
Needless to say, this excited me greatly! I had purchased the Runes and yet another Tarot deck to begin my further study of my spirituality. This Rune lets me know I am on the right path.
