My Grandfather was a WW2 Vet who served as an engineer in the RAF. He was posted all over, including Egypt.They used to dig a hole 10 ft deep and put their tents over the hole. They slept in the hole so they did not get shot by snipers. He was shot down once and survived, He had to remove burnt bodies from planes so they could reuse the plane parts.
My Great Grandfather was in WW1 and the Boer War, he was a gattling gunner in the trenches and burnt off all his fingertips.These are some of the the things that need to be Remembered.We need to put stories to the names of all those who have served through the various wars so we can stay connected to those that serve now. Lest We forget
