My own Personal Sweat Shop
Been another long time since I poked my head in here and spoke up. Been very busy with work, play and life in general. Haven't really been spending a lot of time online except for a couple hours in the morning. Then it's off to whatever work I have found for the day, be it vacuuming, sewing for the agricultural station or helping Bobbi.
The sewing for the station has turned into a big nightmare... The boss refuses to contact me and I constantly have to bother Nathan for supplies and information. I keep getting different rolls and sizes of net. The last one was HUGE way too big to work with at home. At this point I am at a standstill. Called the boss about it, but he hasn't gotten back to me. I do hope it can be worked out ASAP, as I desperately need the money. IT... IS... SO... FRUSTRATING. For me and Nathan. I am lucky he is such a good sport.
Took a day off on Wednesday. It was perfectly lovely. Went for a long adventure downtown and got some important errands done. Dropped off my interest relief forms to the bank and got the money for Markus' costume for the play into a more liquid form. Wandered around Abby looking at every possible fabric store. Didn't find too much sadly. Looking for that perfect mix of flowy and not too hot is harder than I thought. Still... got some black linen for Jason and something flashy that I thought Jen would appreciate for her sleeves. I need to make a pilgrimage to Fabricana or Dressew in the next little while I guess. If any of you gentle viewers out there would lend me a lift it would be muchly appreciated.
Got to spend a bit of time with Erica too, and that was lovely. Need to see that girl more often. Now that everyone is going to college in Abby it might be more likely I guess. Just so's everyone knows, it's bus #16 that heads way out here to the boonies.
Anyway... I slacked yesterday, so I have to do all my vacuuming today. Yei me. I started watching the end of NCIS season 2 only to run into a 4 episode cliffhanger. Had to watch it till the end. I was disturbed by it and had to resolve it in my head before sleeping. The flippant way they dealt with death was different than some of the even more gory episodes. I didn't like it AT ALL. Still good show. You should catch it sometime.
I guess that is my big excitement this week.
