Paul writes in that oh-so-famous seventh chapter of 1 Corinthians:
(28)But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.
I always thought it meant that marriage makes life harder, not easier. Now I'm starting to wonder if Paul really meant, "Weddings themselves lead directly to headaches," and the "have not sinned" part is to reassure you that you didn't do anything wrong to deserve them.
