(no subject)
so Queen's homecoming...where do i start?
the party started (for us at least) on thursday night...sinead was going to have a 'get-together'...but we convinced her that it pretty much had to be a kegger, because that's the only way to go...and she has a good house for it...SO..we made it pirate themed, and it was a KEGarrrrrrr, not a kegger...because that's just lame...so everyone dressed up for it :D and it was her birthday the day after...and we were obviously there until past midnight...so we had a huge costco cake, but nothing to eat it on/with, so that definately turned into a cake FIGHT in sinead's kitchen...it was pretty much the most fun thing in the history of things :D (A+)
friday:
steph's friend from McGill, steven, came up for homecoming...we went out for dinner with him and steph, sarah, and i at this place called Cambodiana, which was surprisingly good...but i don't really have tons of experience with south-east asian food...so for all i know, it may have sucked ass, but whatever...i liked it :D so yeah..then we came back to our rooms and drank a bit...and then we went to this engineer kegger...it was fun i guess...but i didn't really know anyone...and then steven started to puke everywhere, and i was the most sober, because i can't drink beer and that's all they had there...so i took him downstairs and outside...and let me tell you this...cambodian food is not so pleasant on the way up...so yeah...then we brought steven back, ordered pizza and went to bed (C+)
saturday:
yesterday was like THE homecoming day...all the alumni were there, in their slightly inebriated state..haha...in the morning, we went out at like 9am to go to a pancake kegger...an amazing queen's homecoming tradition...we were all pretty sloshed by like 12...and they dyed all the engineers too...that's another tradition here at queen's...all the engineers dye themselves purple with this stuff called Gentian...it's some ridiculously concentrated stuff from some plant...i don't know...and then we went to mcdonald's and all the seats were purple (apparently some other engineers had been there)...so yeah...then i came home, and we topped up...and then wandered, i bought a nice long-sleeved tshirt...then last night there was a concert...there were the strippers' union, which was pretty much the worst band ever, and then metric played, and after them was billy talent. I didn't stay for billy talent because i hate them. BUT METRIC WAS AMAZING...best live performance i've seen...but they only played a few songs, which kind of sucked...but whatever...i'm sure i'll get the opportunity to see them again some time...so yeah...then we went to aberdeen, which is this block long street in the ghetto where all the craziest parties are...at homecoming there are about 5000 people there...last night it kind of turned into a riot...people flipped a car over and then they were jumping on it..BUT it started to leak gas, and some stupid person thought it would be a good idea to light it...so he did...so they lit a car on fire...good times (actually...they really were) so that was pretty much my homecoming...it rocked...
oh yes...there was also a football game in there somewhere, but it wasn't very note worthy, so whatever...
