It’s one of a great list of things about living with Rodney which John thinks will never get old, like the way he pulls John close when they get into bed, and the way wraps his arms round John while John’s washing up, bumps his nose against the short hair on John’s neck.

I like the way you show their intimacy here. A sad fic, but very well done.

Thank you... I didn't plan on it being sad, but I'm starting to think it's impossible to write happy fic when John's still so close to having had to leave.

I love this, and this universe breaks my heart. Any story where John or Rodney has to give up Atlantis, really, really give it up, as in can't go back, does. I was crazy about Never Going Home too, if I forgot to comment.

Murrrr. Poor John. Sad but still wonderfully sweet.

puts down food for the cat, who’s out prowling the neighborhood and won’t want to be let in until ten minutes after John’s gone to bed That just made me laugh, because it's just so true.

Can you imagine the cat of John and Rodney being anything *but* contrary about these kinds of things?!

*hugs boys tightly*

So happy they are together, so sad it came about the way it did.

And John feeling guilty about Rodney being there.

And Rodney pointing out he's an idiot and that John's worth it and Rodney wants to be there. I loved him saying that John wouldn't get to be all self-sacrifical today *g*

Talking aobut how John bought the house for the team/family, any chance of seeing his Family coming to visit? That would be utterly wonderful.

Yeah. I think it galls John a bit that Rodney has adjusted to this so fast, and he still can't, because he hasn't wrapped his head around the fact that Rodney chose this while John didn't.

This is kind of embarrassing to admit, but I've got this half-planned in my head, and I just can't choose between the two options for how to start it; either John waiting at the house for Ronon and Teyla, because he can't go to the SGC, or Rodney bringing them home one day as a surprise. I lean more towards the latter, but I can't decide!!
