♦♦♦/♠♠/♥ "You're a pillar of comfort, Palom."
Rydia is the last true summoner of Mist and one of Palom's old allies during the battle against Zeromus. A curious part of Rydia's history is that she was only two years his senior... and then grew up all at once after spending time in the Feymarch. He's come to see her as more of a friendly rival in black magic. He's self assured in the fact he's better than her, but that doesn't negate the fact she's still good. Given that a teenage Palom once had a naive crush on her, he's often wondered what it would have been like if Rydia had never been in the Feymarch at all. Of course, he's an adult now and such things are silly.
Strangely enough, in Luceti, Palom is now older than her as well. It's become immediately apparent to him she's tired and worn from balancing her love of Kain with friends who are no so patient with the dragoon. In a small way, Palom pities her for the dilemma she seems to be in. On the other hand, she really should have saw it coming. Kain Really? Maybe it's for the best that the two of them don't want to know about their future.
