So I'm done with Civil War and AP Spanish forever now. XD Two down, four to go, hehe.
Anyway, my sister Andrea called last night to congratulate me about graduating and to apologize for not being able to fly in from Phoenix, Arizona (all the flights were booked). She would have called me later this week, but she's getting her wisdom teeth pulled today and she was worried she wouldn't be able to talk. XD Anyway, she told me a little bit about the sorority she was in at LSU, Delta Gamma, and apparently the chapter at UCSB is Gamma Kappa. And the weird thing is that they call themselves a fraternity because the Greek root means that it's a bunch of people who get together and have the same interests. Anyway, I was looking at the fraternity's website, and they seem pretty okay. Their ideals and philosophy seem to be in the right place. And apparently there's this "legacy" thing where if Andrea writes me a recommendation I'm basically guaranteed membership. And apparently it's cheaper to live in the chapter house and eat home-cooked food (yummy). Aside from the costs, it may be something I want to look into, but I guess I'll have to wait till fall to see. It's good to know I have options, though.
TWO MORE DAYS TILL GRADUATION, OMG!!! [/random outburst of emotion]
I think the whole graduation thing is starting to hit me a bit. I was reading the parent ads in the book, and even though they were for other people, some of them made me get a little teary-eyed. I wonder how hard it's gonna hit me on the actual day... *thinks about it* Oh dear... word of warning to my friends, whom I love so dearly... be prepared for some serious waterworks with simultaneous laughter accompanied by monster-sized hugs. ^^;;;
Anyway, I've actually got math standards I need to do for tomorrow *gag*. So I guess I should stop wasting my time on the internet. Sounds like a plan. XD
