True Dark

So how many of you have experienced actual TrueDark?  Meaning, you were in a place with no natural light source what-so-ever and you turned off your unnatural light sorce so that there was just pitch blackness.  If you've never done it, do it, its cool.  At first your brain interprets it as that feeling you get when you turn off a bright light in a dark room; your brain tells you to wait, that things will lighten up and not be so fuzzy...  Only that doesn't happen.  Things don't lighten up and your vision still thinks its just fuzzy and waiting to adjust, only there isn't anything to adjust to.  Charles and i experienced it while in a lava tube (kaumana caves) somewhere between 20-30 feet underground.  No, thats not deep, but we were a *long* ways into the cave and NO light was reaching us from the outside.  It was really cool.  We're definetly going to have to go back some time soon.  I want to see if we can get a group of us to go next saturday.  I'm thinking Truman, Charles, myself, Bryan, Tom,. and Jared maybe if he's interested.  We'll have a real adventuring party! *grins*  And as for the party makeup today we had a rogue, a cleric/monk, 2 low level fighter types and a commoner.  The rogue of course ended up leading the party...  Curiosity may have killed the cat, but only because the rogue jumped out of the way. *grin*
Pictures to come once Charles loads them onto the computer.
