Last week Chase came home from karatay with a wounded ear. When they grapple and the ear gets rubbed, or wacked, a hematoma (bruise) develops in the cartilaginous part of the ear. That can scar up, and these guys end up with those creepy looking "califlower ear". To prevent that, you need to drain it.
Since chase and I are almost doctors, we decided to do it at home. Don't freak out! It went well. I have mad skills, drained the ear, and didn't give him some huge infection. You have to wrap the ear against the head for a while after, so stop it from bleeding. So Chase decided to share the fun, and the closest victims were the dogs (The cats went into hiding).
