The clothes really do make the man.

Yesterday Chris had a job interview in Gatesville. It's for a counselor position in a prison, so he got all dressed up in his fancy suit and tie, and drove me into work. Gatesville is another 45 minutes past my office, which is an hour away. So he drove me in and went to his interview. Last night was the grand opening of the new Seton hospital. Dr. J invited Chris and so he picked me up at work and then we went over to the hospital. There was barbeque and beer and then we got a tour of the new hospital. Chris is still in his suit, looking very important and everywhere we went people kept introducing themselves to him. Mr. Fancy Pants! Dr. J is opening a new office there and GUESS WHAT. It's got my name on it. I told him now he can't fire me, and he said now I can't quit. We are still keeping the office in Killeen. Dr. J says it has to do with protecting his turf. We will divide our time between the two facilities.

Did I tell you I rode a mechanical bull? Memorial day weekend, Chris and I helped Reba's husband move them into their new house. This fully cemented the fact that I am never moving myself again. I am too old for that. Sunday night we went out with some people who might be friends, and I rode a mechanical bull. Monday we laid out by the pool, I wore a SPF a million, except of course in my hair, where I got sunburned. By Tuesday, between moving, riding a bull, and sunburn, I hurt from my head to my toes. This week my sunburn began to peel and now it looks like dandruff. Awesome.

rheum, chris
