Yes! It is my birthday, the big 3-0! So far, 30 feels better than 29, but I've only been awake for 45 minutes. I think a lot of people take 30 as a sign to look back on their life and try to make sense of their accomplishments. I feel like 30 is a new beginning. This year has been great so far and I feel like I'm in the process of starting over. I am working on quitting smoking, and have been fairly successful. I've quit for long periods of time before and so I feel confident that I can quit again. Summer school starts next month and I'm looking forward to that. Lucy's birthday is next month and she will be considered a senior. At 6. Wild.

So I'm 30. Gimme some candy!
