You're welcome. Just thought I would try to explain some of it. But in anxiety/panic attacks, you actually get locked into a positive feedback loop of epinephrine. :(

i took a linguistics/history class last semester called The Triumph of English. It was really interesting, and as it turns out, no one knows for sure if there was ever just one language, like a Babel situation that spawned all other modes of communication. Still, it's pretty unlikely that there ever could be just one language, since communities were so small and spread apart when language was first evolving. There were probably a whole bunch of indoeuropean tribe languages and dialects, and then communication with traders would be mostly done in gestures. I found the whole thing absolutely fascinating, having had no idea how language evolves and changes through history. It also gave me a really big fat sense of respect for English as a language, because its powers of survival and intricacy of roots is amazing. If you ever have time to read for pleasure (it's hard to find, I know) The Stories of English by David Crystal is one of the most interesting books i have ever read. You think about interesting things.

I haven't been here for awhile and it seems that you have been busy missy! I do think their is a way to talk about religion, but everyone has to respect everyone elses. If you respect someone's religion you can't argue, you can only discuss. Or if you don't really care. It's all about an open mind and just being okay that someone isn't like you.

P.S. the creepy kid with the orange hair and russian hat smiled, waved and said hello to me like he knew me... I'm chalking it up to his creepyness. Don't worry, I respect his creepyness so it's all good!!!! :)

AND

POOP on my discussion leadership tomorrow... I DON'T WANT TO!!!!!!! Do you think if I fake a fainting spell they won't make me do it? Just a thought... I think my partner is going to be WAY OFF THE WALL and I hope I don't get docked for anything ridiculous he says or does, like slamming his hand against the table to scare the whole class.. Yep, I always get the best people... POOP!
