Parasites Psychosis
Interestingly, our parasitology lecturer mentioned this disease.
Parasites Psychosis is a form of psychosis or false belief, a "loss of contact with reality". Sufferers have a strong delusional belief that they are infested with parasites, whereas in reality no such parasites are present.
So they usually goes to see a GP who refer them to a Dermatologist who will refer them to see a Psychiatrist.
When all things fail, they will come to see the Veterinarian.
And if they were asked to bring in the parasites for identification during the next consults.
They will bring in many bottles of 'parasites' that are actually just dirt.
