A Truly Historic Day for all Australians
What an emotional day today was the long overdue "Sorry" day.
Rudd's speech was inspiring, from the heart, no jargon and certainly evoked tears in me. What a shame Brendan Nelson's was an insult to thinking Australians, more than that an insult to the people "sorry day" was for.
This is a start, let's ensure that action follows the words, I believe our new Government is sincere in trying to bridge the gap for opportunities for Indigenous people. Let's hope this is de-politicised so that there are no barriers to change.
