Still looking for work. Hopefully I get a bite soon. If there's anyone in the SF Bay area that needs some odd jobs or pet sitting or something done, my time and services are completely negotiable at the moment.
Went to the SF Alliance game this last weekend. Had much fun, despite the dust. :P Finally encountered a staff who's response to "I'm night blind" was "ok, we can work with that" and they did. Once the sun went down, I spent my time helping the other NPCs with make up and keeping monster camp in some semblance of order. The reaction has typically been to groan and roll eyes at me, or say it's ok and then get annoyed later when the sun goes down. That, above everything else that happened over the weekend (and it was all fun) just made it the best event I've been to since the Strega battle.
I think I'll be PCing the next event, then possibly signing up for a duration to help out a bit. Nothing final or anything, just evaluating my options.
The cats are adjusting to the rest of the house. River has claimed an arm of the couch near Wolfie's desk. Kayley is still working on this whole "not being in the room" thing, but she's getting there. I moved the litter box out to the bathroom today. Sadly, one of the downsides to this move is there's nowhere to really put the litter robot, so it's had to go into storage and we're just using a traditional box right now. We've switched from a clay litter to Swheat Scoop. It's low odor without trying to actually mask the odor, lower dust than the clay litters, clumps reasonably well, and completely flushable. I just pop the lid off, drag it over to the toilet and scoop it out. No having to worry about bags and garbage cans. And the cats don't seem to notice much of a difference. In fact, River isn't kicking litter out of the box anymore. The only litter coming out is what they've just been tracking out between their toes. I suppose another plus is that Kayley actually fits in this litter box. She seems to have just gotten over all way too big for the robot.
The internet is still a little flaky for me. We've resolved it to the best we can already, so it's something I'm just going to have to live with.
I need to go by target and get some clothing items and some sheets for the futon since we've put the king in storage. The shuffling of stuff also continues.
