Mages, archers, knights in shining armor on great steeds, great winged, fire-breathing dragons, a healer or two, and possibly a princess in distress, with the main character and a band of close friends set out on a journey to save her from a wicked witch in a tower.

Of course, there are more versions, but this is the typical style of fantasy stories.
