I reckon if Jason is so carefree, he should be the one who's more playful and lazier. But yeah, at least for them I'm trying to stick to the Maxis bio.
For the Ramaswamis? I threw the bios to the wind and started them over, based on how they dressed and how they acted and what I needed for the story. There might be more on their changes of heart in later chapters.
I haven't gotten to do any writing for Gilbert, so I don't think he'll be playing a major role in the story. But I mentioned him so I figured I might as well include him in here.
