For all his years at sea, he knows he’s still got the devil’s luck in his blood, devil’s fire in his bones. )
.... oh dear god. The image of Sanji sinking into the rock was horrific. D: Thank goodness Zoro was there to - figuratively and literally - pull him out of it.
And the image of Zoro, watching little Sanji struggle... seeing him scream himself hoarse after the ship, and beat his hands against the ground... that being the thing that broke him... to go after the ship and futilely yank on the anchor chain to pull it back... Very powerful stuff, that. Zoro yelling at the sailors was just a very humourous touch in such a sombre situation. X3
(I certainly can't blame Sanji for not wanting to stay on that island. Living through it ONCE was enough.) Sanji staying by Zeff's side each night is very touching, too.
Then Sanji panicking... near-delierious, almost... NEEDING to cook something for Zoro, to have him eat. Seeing Sanji breaking like this is heartbreaking. ;__;
...and trust those two to "calm each other down", and "get back to normal" by FIGHTING. *sighs* Boys... (just kiss already, damnit! *lol*)
OOOOOOOOH! The narration was by a Klabautermann...? Sunny's Klabautermann? :D Oooh, so very cool! Sounds like Sunny understands them, too. :3 And yes - they needed that test, to get stronger, to have more faith and strength in each other, for what happened in Thriller Bark. ;__; *hugs the BOTH of them!*
Very beautiful story! Many kudos!

I can't really imagine how their first kiss would go down. Maybe something like:
"COME ON. WE'RE MAN ENOUGH TO DO THIS."
"RIGHT. WHO'S AFRAID OF KISSING. NOT ME."
"I BET I'M MORE NOT-AFRAID THAN YOU."
"PROVE IT."
And then they accidentally knock each other's teeth out.
Yosh, it was the Sunny! The Sunny is privy to all their secrets.... it's always watching. Nowhere on board is safe. >_>
This part was hard for me to really pull together, but it was definitely worth it for lovely comments such as yours. Thank you!!
