The Mastodon Book Of Sword and Sorcery (or something that I'd like to see)
lemuriapress mentioned not so long ago he was considering an anthology of Sword and Sorcery for his super cool Planet Stories line of books (didn't mention anything about huge prehistoric elephants, though).
I also just came across at discussion by slushmaster here : http://slushmaster.livejournal.com/128236.html about Sword and Sorcery and recent possibilities, too. Shame I missed that a few days ago.
Much as Arnie did in the Conan movie, if this was paper, you could certainly use it to take out camels :-
There may also be the odd worth example lurking in Black Gate issues I haven't read, too.
