Once there was a seagull,
who hailed from the seven seas,
he told me dear,
"I know it's wrong,
but be what you must be."

Once there was a raven,
from the night's Plutonian shore,
he led me on and told me
what dreams I had in store.

Once there was an owl,
who glared with gleaming eye,
and told me not to cower
when danger passed me by.

Once there was a peacock,
who took me by the hand,
the peacock said,
with melodious tone,
that I'd see another land.

And once there was an eagle,
noble, fierce and brave,
which predicted that I would indeed
defeat that dark-souled knave.
