murder mystery

nate helped me to strip the paint
off of the old walls
of the house.
underneath the layers of green and country plaid,
i found a universe,
with blue and green
orbs
orbiting a center.

the house was old and chambered off
and sumptuously decorated.
there was a party being held with colonel mustard
and lady peacock.
jessica and i searched around the house, asking everyone
if they had seen the murderer.
we got closer when we searched the greenhouse
where all the plants were being put away.
she swore she had searched every dusty corner,
but she found not a clue,
but in ab old african violet i found an orange feather,
the same feather we had found in a pile of seeds
that was mysteriously placed at the murder scene.
so we figured
if we figured out who the owner of the feather was,
we would then find the killer.
