Just what I needed-a new fandom!
So, I have a new fandom. It's not my falt though!
Last week on January 5th, 2007 svmadelyn posted a gripe about seperis. They are *fighting* snickers. So anyway in her post she mentions a fic seperis just wrote and a link with the rec to go read it as it's great. It's a Smallville fic thought and I have never seen a Smallville show nor have a read any fic but I thought 'why not?' so here's the story: 'Dealing With the Unexpected (SV, Clark/Lex)' http://community.livejournal.com/undermistletoe/53829.html
So I liked it. I got curious about other Smallville stories these two have written so I follow the links and have spent several days reading Smallville fic. I loved most of them and love the Clark/Lex pairing. I did not need a new fandom (obsession). I already have Stargate Atlantis and Sentinel, thank you very much.....
So then I think to myself that maybe I should SEE the show. So I downloaded a couple from season 1 which took forever to download for some reason. I didn't have classes today so what the heck right? Apparently there are 6 or 7 seasons out already and how did not miss this show to begin with? Back to the topic. I have now watched the first 3 episodes. I Love it. Why? Good question. The story line, not so much but the eye candy is GREAT. I can honestly sit back and say I would watch it if they just have Clark and Lex on screen together smiling and talking to each other the whole time. Throw in some naked lounging and I'm good!. They don't even have to be 'saying' anything. Just have them read from a dictionary and smile alot. Really. That's all I need.
So the guy that plays Clark is just so beautiful and pretty it is heartbreaking and painful to look at him. He has a smile to kill for and his EYES! Oh my gosh. I have never seen any human outside of animation have eyes so big and just so pretty! He would seriously give puss-in-boots a run for his money there. The actor is absolutely fantastic! I have no idea how he does it but he just gives off this overwhelming innocence and eagerness and sweetness , and sexy in a disturbingly wholesome way, it is just so great. It makes me want to hug him and hold him and pet him and molest him.....The people of Smallville are just morons and plain stupid for not noticing him. Ok, on to the guy that plays Lex. Love him to. He has great sex appeal that isn't your average good looking guy sort. The way he gives his lines are great and when he smiles-I can't help but smile with him. Really great smile. It's not a lots of teeth smile or a Clark joyful/sweet smile. It is ...sexy, hot, defiant and a whole bunch of other words I can't remember right now. His voice is sex and he moves beautifully, just funking beautifully. The bald head I thought would be a turn off isn't. It looks great on him. He slao gives off a strange longing and sweetness, at times. The way he looks at Clark is something to see.
Then of course,When Clark and Lex are on screen together they are awesome. They have chemistry and are just so good together. They are Slashers dreams! Maybe it's because most of my first exposure to Smallville was Clex slash but I love the two together and can't see them with others. They are just so good together! Lana is pretty and nice ect but I just want to slap her. I will probably feel like that with any of the females the show hooks up with those two. When Clark saves Lex from the river it is great. The look on Lex's face when he comes around is to die for. It looks like love at first sight with them. I just love that scene. I also love the way they did the crash. For some strange reason the way Clark falls is hot. I know how odd is that? They are just great together and it makes you want Lex to jump Clarks bones and make themselves and us happy.
