goodbye yellow brick road part 2
so i guess this is my last week at the san fernando sun. i got a call today from disney informing me they would like me to start on december 10th. i'm stoked. i know i could be walking into this as a naive person, thinking everything is going to be oh so much better than my time at the sun. it's bound to be hard work. but, i have to try something new and see where it can go from there. risk is the most important thing right now.
at the same time, i just want to get away from the paper now because i've been butting heads with the editor again (just like old times). i'm ready for a change. it could be a good one, it could be a bad one. either way, it's a change. it's also 6 months of intern work. if i prove myself before or after the internship period is over, i could be looking at a promotion, a raise, and a better life.
the one thing i hope for the most right now is that i can network my way into the more creative-driven departments at disney...like promotional items. you know, coming up with the merchandise. that would be great.
hopefully i can find my way in.
if not, i guess i'll have the experience under my belt, and i'd be ready for a new job.
