Wow, two months gone...
I have not posted anything in a long time. I think it's because that for the first time in a long time I feel as if there's not much to tell. My life does feel like it has been stagnating a bit too much lately. But that doesn't mean the last two months were entirely uneventful. I went down to NIU a few times for football games. For halloween I dressed up as Captain Hammer but for some odd reason I didn't make it into a single photo for the evening.
This last Sunday I took a trip out to Chicago to see Star Wars in Concert. It was spectacular. My one single gripe is that the cameras did not get any closeups of the percussion. Sure, they had plenty of shots of the same brass players, but the percussion was almost entirely neglected. I counted two shots through the whole concert that focused on what is the most entertaining section to watch in the entire orchestra. Our seats were pretty far back, so I focused a lot on the video screen.
It's fun to do Secret Santas. I'm doing three this year. One for Walmart, one for Comtech, and then another for #wiigii!. I seem to only do the #wiigii! one sporadically, but it's always fun. This year was great, with bkilby getting me Transformers Animated: The Arrival and Transformers Robot Masters: I Am Optimus Prime. I knew in recent years we tried to actually steer away from TF stuff, but since this was on my amazon wish list, I guess it was fare game. For that I am grateful. Thanks!
