~blushes like crazy~ Aw, thank you! I could have gone on for much longer about Michigan, to be honest, but I wanted to move on before most of my audience fell asleep out of boredom. I didn't even get to talk about our progressive streak, like being the first state to abolish capital punishment! Or the way graffiti artists are turning ugly, abandoned spaces into works of art and vehicles for social commentary. Or storms rolling in off the lake. Or the Freedom Festival Fireworks. Or...

When I run into people who knew me as a little girl, they always mention how I would sing and dance everywhere. I still do, I just pretend to be joking around when I bust out my moves in the grocery store.

Aw, yes, me too, on both counts. My parents might never let me live down the story about going to see Annie as a little girl and getting out in the aisle to sing and dance along. *g* When my dad was so ill and I was having to take him from doctor visit to doctor visit, I would always be sitting in waiting rooms, listening to my iPod, and I'd forget where I was and just start grooving along, not realizing that nobody else there could hear the music. They must have thought I was a bit... strange. *g*
