Feeling Good

I haven't updated in far too long, although in this case, silence isn't necessarily a bad thing. (Everybody's fine, including Dad, I promise.) Despite the silence, I am feeling good. Actually, I'm Feeling Good, because it's so good that it merits capitalization. It's the kind of feeling that makes you strut around to some mental soundtrack, ( Read more... )

Yes--

Apparently I had the costuming thing going pretty strong all my life. But theater people didn't like me so I left. it wasnt until my 40s I rediscovered this joy. Is happy.

So my dear, primp away and have fun. I have fun finding ways to fool the eye.

Don't give a rats ass what other people think. It's your life, so go live it and do what makes you happy. Everyone else can kiss your ass. Great attitude to have. Hugs.

Thank you! ~big hugs~ And those theater people were insane for not liking you. I'd have been thrilled to have you in our troupe! In any case, I'm really, really glad you reconnected with your love for costumes, because you do them so well. I'm always in awe of your illusions. :D

Yes. Yes, yes, yes. You primp and preen and strut your stuff, Bluey. Don't let feminists or sizeists or anyone else tell you what you should wear to express their agenda. They can kiss your shiny, shiny boots. Be awesome!

And send us boot!pr0n. :)

~big hugs~

Thank you for the support! It feels great to just be myself and not feel compelled to hide or make excuses for this part of me. Shocking how much confidence comes from being able to accept (and celebrate) yourself as you are.

And yes, there will be boot pr0n. Mwahahahaha! (Man, if you only knew some of the shoes I've worn in the past. Let's just say that my closet includes glittery red platforms and lucite stilettos. *g*)

Those peacock feathers aren't dusty at all! They are more jewel-toned than ever! I am a first-, second-, and third-wave feminist and I loooooooooove primping. You are the High Priestess of Fun, of textures and plush and luxe, and I send you (virtual, alas, but still fun) many pairs of yummy boots.

The High Priestess of Fun! Aww, you always make me blush. ~glomps you~

Primping is really fun. I can't believe I stopped for the most part... I think I had some ridiculous idea about wanting to be Taken Seriously, but now I'm at the point where I don't need to act like an adult. I just am one. :D

~adores virtual boots~ Just my size, too! Imagine that!
