The kush… I have no freaking idea what kush is, aside from a type of pot, but I do know that I loved the only other scent that I tried with it (Manhattan). Wherever it is, it certainly isn't offensive.

It's a type of cannabis, some people smoke it, some people extract the resins to make perfumes! ;-)

Basic kush could be described as sort of "spicy", perhaps with an "earthy" undertone to it, if my memory of last smelling the essential oil back in the 80's is correct. Some people like wearing it "neat", but to me it's a scent better combined with other essential oils...

From a quick Google search, seems there are any number of "fruity" kushes available now, the most popular seeming to be "lemon", but I saw listings for "grape", "blueberry", and "strawberry" also, but my guess is that anyone serious about making perfume blends with essential oils (as your description of BPAL sounds), they would probably stick to "classic" kush...

;-)

Ah, okay! Thank you for the information. I knew that kush was a type of cannabis, but I wasn't certain that it would be used in perfumery! (Admittedly, this is because I find the smell of cannabis to be stomach-turning, to put it mildly. It just rubs my nose the wrong way.) But that explains the overall effect of the perfume, and I do like it.

Woot for Bluey. So glad to went to the concert. You can't keep a good woman down, eh?

I heard bpal had a loyal, fervent following, and here's my proof. I might just have to try some. They could hire you to write for them. Hopefully you wouldn't have the same experience Elaine had writing for J. Peterman's catalogue in Seinfeld. ;)

Why, thank you! Don't know that it's evidence of my goodness, but I just decided that there was no reason to deprive myself of a concert I'd wanted to see, and I'd be more likely to have fun out of the house than sitting in and brooding. So I went, and I'm glad I did.

Oh, yes on the BPAL. It is its own sort of fandom, and people can be just as devoted to their oils as fanfic writers are to their OTPs! But they're very well made and an incredible lot of fun, so I do recommend them. If you're interested, I'm happy to make recommendations or send along some samples. :D (The site is here.

And now I have a craving to watch that episode. Oh, the Urban Poncho incident!

Thank you! I really did have a fabulous time. The music was excellent, and it was more or less a full house, so there was a lot of energy in the building. And for whatever reason, they were featuring a local chocolatier in the atrium before the concert, so that was nice! Don't know how it's connected to the symphony, but it was nice. :D

I went! I went, and I'm truly glad that I did. It was a great time, and I was much happier than if I had stayed in and brooded.

I'm sorry that your evening is yucky, though. ~big hugs~

Thank you! The concert was fab, the cheeseburger was tasty and I had a much better time than I would have had otherwise. I'm happy that I pushed myself to do it.
