But I actually wrote something and posted it this morning. For the first time in months, I feel capable of stringing two sentences of fiction together, which is frankly a relief. I think Azkatraz has done me a tremendous amount of good in terms of jump-starting my creativity and reinvigorating me. There was just such enthusiasm, so many thoughtful discussions that made me reengage with the material, so many good ideas being born. (Some gloriously cracky ones, too, but I think the sleep deprivation helped there.) This little idea grabbed me last night, and I have to say that it felt really good to flex the drabbling muscles again, atrophied as they are.
Anyway, it's a little double drabble called An Understanding, and it's Severus/Minerva... which I realize will squick some people, but it isn't graphic, and if any prompt was calling out for this pairing, it was "Snape and Cats." Anyway, don't let that put you off reading it, even if it isn't your ship.
I will try to do my Day Three Azkatraz recap post later, if time permits. Woke up this morning with a monster headache, and though it's starting to recede now, it's far from gone.
