Went to the farmer's market Wednesday and picked up loads of flowers, both for home and otherwise. There were so many lovely things that it was tough to pick and choose! I may just be feeling particularly appreciative this year, but I'd swear that things are blooming in exceptionally productive and beautiful way this year. At any rate, I picked ( Read more... )

Those are beautiful! Especially the blue ones - I've never seen flowers like that before.

Thank you! I'm glad you like the clematis. I hoped it would improve this season, but I was shocked at how many flowers it produced!

The pre-birthday birthday was absolutely perfect, as was the birthday birthday. (I'm considering the Wings' victory in Game 5 to be the Best. Present. Evar.) Today's post-birthday birthday, backyard barbecue style, looks to be very good as well. But I suspect I'll be tiiiiired on Monday. ;-)

~blows kiss back~ Whee! I'm glad you enjoyed the pic spam. It feels so good to have things growing and thriving and providing color in the garden that I just had to share. This clematis has struggled for so long, so it's a special thrill to see it thriving.

And of course you have the same clematis. Why am I not surprised? It just goes to show your excellent taste. *g*

I saw Jin's banner and had a good laugh... and then an "awww," because I'm sure that his 30th was not one of Severus' better birthdays. He'd be closing in on the ten year anniversary of Lily's death, with only a year to go before Harry arrives, with whatever spying duties were included, not to mention his teaching duties... blech. But he can make up for it now, I'm sure. ;-)

As for my birthday, it was very festive, and I am feeling very happy and satisfied with my lot in life after this weekend. I don't know how, but I feel oddly certain that it's going to be a good year. Thank you for the good wishes!
