So, I remember this season...it was really nice outside and you could go outside and not freeze and not sweat your ass off and I think it was called fall, or autumn or something like that. Whatever happened to that season - I remember liking it. Went to JuHo for some coffee and damn near froze my feet off sitting outside smoking. I went to Recycled to thaw (and see if they had a Drams album, but they don't) just so I could feel my feet well enough to drive. Hard to know when to let off the clutch when you can't feel your toes.
Still getting used to the 4 10 hours, 3 day weekend shifts. It's kinda annoying in a way because I'm wasting this chunk of day until people get off work or are awake. Come 5 o'clock though I should be situated at Lou's enjoying a beer or three.
Kat and I got the call that we got the house we wanted. I got sick and tired of living in an efficiency - this time next month, I will not have my bed and my couch in the same room. I can't tell you how excited this prospect makes me. The house is a seafoam green craftsman-style house; I've always wanted to live in a strange colored house ever since I moved to Denton and saw all the cute weird colored houses. People don't paint houses seafoam green or lavender or whatever in Lubbock really. On the other hand, I'm not looking forward to the prospect of moving all my stuff. I can't decide which I am dreading the most - moving my formidable book collection or my formidable kitchen stuff. I have way too much of both for my own good. Need to drop off my deposit later today.
