Ah, another day, another LJ layout, and a ton of icons. Whee!
Sunday, I noticed the tread on my drivers side front tire was hella worn, so I took it to Walmart to get it replaced and by the time the greeter got to me and my decrepit car, the tire had gone completely flat and was totally unrepairable. So I bought a new tire. And found out the rim is bent and needs to be fixed this week. And, of course, the alignment is eating tires. And this is in addition to fixing my speedometer. Stupid car.
So, the current plan is to get a new job that pays me enough to buy a new, cheap car (looking at Civics, Focuses, Yaris, etc.) and get rid of the Volkswagen. I like the car when it runs, but it's just costing too much to keep it on the road, especially since it's having so many problems and I still have 3 years of payments on it. Plan B consists of me getting a second job in addition to my current gig, working my ass off constantly and being miserable, and still buying a new car. I'm sick of buying used cars, they just haven't worked out, and I'd rather get something with a warranty and pay a little more for peace of mind.
Oh man, I really don't want to get a second job. I realize that life isn't fair and all, but dammit, life isn't fair! /bitching

I'm finding myself at a lack of positive things to ramble about right now. I need a shot of vitamin happy...life isn't so bad, I'm just stuck in a rut of negative thinking.
