Sunday Morning

Bleh...I need a new keyboard, this one is getting old and gummy. It's been a long hard three years that it's served me though, and served me well. Ah well...maybe when I get a job and have some income rolling in again, I'll get one that doesn't require me to backtrace every third word to add in a letter that failed to register.

Unless I've simpley become the worst typist hack ever. Then I'll be out the cost of a keyboard and still feel like an ass.

I'm on the tail end of this cold, the gross end. I've woken up the past couple mornings and coughed and sniffled and dripped and honked my nose...I'm just greatful that Dylan sleeps like a log and my cat is good-humored, at least as far as cats go. And I'll be really happy when the end of my nose is no longer chapped.

Speaking of cats, here is another picture of my unconscious cat, cause who doesn't love pictures of my unconscious cat!

Sam has taken to sleeping next to the shower. And yes, that really is the color of the carpet in our bedroom; we have hardwood floors for the rest of the apartment, at least.

I finished White Teeth by Zadie Smith today. It's an excellent, and rather quick, read, much funnier than I expected it to be while still having actual literary merit and covering major themes. Now I'm onto pouring through Danny Gregory's website/blog which makes me want to buy a bunch of Rapidoliners and draw draw draw (or at least wish that the only Rapidoliner I have was not the 00 one I purchased 4 years ago back in typography class, used precisely twice learning handskills while inking on Denril and velum before being stashed in an indeterminate place because 00 is entirely too fine a point to draw much of anything short of the curly cue part of a two-tiered A). Then again, I really like hoarding art supplies. If she who dies with the most unused art supplies wins, I'm without a doubt in the running already, never mind by the time I hit old age.

Oof, that was a lot of rambling.
