I'm an updating fiend once again this morning, but not supplying too much in content. Ah well...

Looking through stock photos looking for newspaper images, it struck me as a pity that I don't get to enjoy my mornings. On an average work day, I roll out of Dylan's bed, perhaps talk to him for a moment and watch him smoke a cigarette or perhaps not, throw on last nights clothes and drive to my apartment to feed my cat and brush my teeth and maybe take a shower, change clothes, and hop in my car car. Sometimes I have the foresight to grab something to eat, but sometimes I don't have time to plan ahead for breakfast and will instead stop at the gas station I pick up my morning's caffiene and grab something prepackaged, salty, and fattening. Said breakfast is generally consumed in the car once I hit the highway part of my drive (it's about a 15 minute drive from my apartment to my job, part of which is on 377), or if I feel ill (which I sometimes do in the morning if I try to eat before about 9, and always have) I'll hang onto said bad for me and medicore breakfast and eat it at my desk, accompanied always by a 22 oz. Dr. Pepper (I used to get the 32 oz. ones when they were on sale this summer, and will likely switch to coffee once it gets colder outside). My wake up time to work time is approximately 40 minutes including the 20 minute drive time + Dr. Pepper run. (Incidentally, I get the fountain Dr. Pepper because it tastes better and doesn't get warm like a can of Dr. Pepper would.)

These pictures showed people sitting at tables, drinking coffee and eating croissants and fresh fruit and basically taking the time to wake up in the morning. I get to do this on the weekend, but just imagine how much happier I'd be if I could work 9-6 instead and actually take the time to enjoy part of my morning and drink coffee and read the newspaper and make myself a proper breakfast, a croissant and fried egg or something like that. Le sigh!

And on an unrelated note...

Crappadoodle. I can't wait till this website redesign is finished; I'm letting things slide (pretty much at Travis's request) that shouldn't be sliding, and I'm afraid it's going to be ugly trying to get caught up. I totally forgot to send out the business card order and one of our sales people is completely out and a little panicked. Blah.
