Am I the only one who's noticed that Fancy Froglin by James Kochalka is in fact not new on Wednesdays!!! Not that it matters a whole lot, but it is the only comic I can think of that's about a frog. Then again, there is probably a reason for that.
I went to the DSVC meeting yesterday, and while the speaker was pretty funny and had some good information to share, he wasn't a very good speaker. I ran into Dave from my internship and talked to him for a while afterwards, and tried my best at a little smoozing, but I feel so lame and pathetic talking to all these designers who have been working in the field longer than Ive, oh...been alive.
My client for senior portfolio is the Mercantile Building in Dallas, which is a WWII era bank building that is being remodelled to be high end retail and living spaces. Should be fun.
Beyond that, classes seem easy enough (for once). I should be able to poke my GPA up the required .11 points so that I can graduate with a 3.0, which is my ultimate goal for the semester (aside from that whole getting out of school thing).
Only 4 more weeks till my financial aid comes in. Big mess. Don't ask.
