and it's finally come to this...year-end wrap.
on the eve of christmas eve, i'm reflecting on the accomplishments i have made this year, as well as my progressive evolution as a person. i've valued the personal connections i have made, and appreciated those that have carried on through the good times and bad times.
to the girls who have hung on - angela, casey, amanda, karin, and partners, john, chuck, caton...i've loved growing up with you. it's been quite a trip, but we've made it another year. keep on prospering.
to my sunday girls - kara, brooks, fran...here's to another year of great times, good food, and fabulous drinks. let's include a side of great television drama, too.
to the spectrum boys and those we may have reached - patrick, steven, danny, angelo, nick...you've been my saving grace, on more than one occassion, even when you didn't know it. between the cattiness, and drama, and secrets and taunts - i wouldn't give away this year of getting to know you all for anything.
to the jade folks - josh, stephanie, pearl, branden...aside from brightening my days with succulent drink adventures, you're great, and i'm glad to have gotten to know you. lesbians rock. and hey, drag queens...bartenders...bar managers...what else does the world need?
to the one i've counted on over and over again - william...you keep me grounded. you educate me. you entertain me. you make me smile, nearly everyday of my life. that's almost 365 favors that i'll probably never be able to re-pay, but thank you. really. you hyphy bitch.
to my brothers drinkers - carl, calvin, cedric, jason, mike, sarah, blaise, matt, jeffrey, alex, ryan, adonis, joseph, shane and everyone else...it's the short, sometimes impersonal but always enjoyable interactions with people like you that fill in all the little gaps that everyone else seems to overlook. that's priceless in itself.
to the boys that came back around - peter, padraic, aldo...i could probably have a conversation with all of you without moving my lips. good times, bad times, weird times, crazy times. we know what they are. and they're unforgettable. it's nice to have you around again.
