my heart will go on.

my livejournal and i haven't been the best of friends lately. i've neglected to post much more than random inklings that come along from time to time. here's a real update, for myself and anyone else that's paying attention.

on friday, i left work early to attend whitney and brad's wedding rehearsal. the rehearsal was short and sweet, and we were able to finalize the last minute details. it was great seeing whitney and brad, as well as their families. everyone got along well, and i think it was a great gathering overall. dinner at little italy followed the rehearsal.

during the rehearsal, i received a call notifying me of the passing of my aunt debbie. her obituary is posted in the panama city news herald. she was diagnosed with an agressive form of brain cancer and her body began failing her rather quickly. it was a short and somewhat painless battle, so her passing brings comfort.

following the rehearsal and dinner, the gang and i ventured to miller's and gill's to celebrate st. patrick's day. i was rather exhausted, so the festivities ended a little early for me.

the wedding went on without a hitch on saturday afternoon. the ceremony went well, and emotions were running rampant. aside from my usual nervousness, i think the ceremony went rather well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. brad and whitney may have gotten more attention than they hoped for, but it was well received and i think even they enjoyed themselves. we had the reception dinner at osaka and i stuffed my face with hibachi and sushi.

all is well in the calm of this world today. i've vowed to accomplish many things this year, and to clear my head and body of toxins. i've found peace in myself in the last few days. i've settled a broken heart and forgiven myself, and others, for things beyond my control.

and finally, on a new note, "he saved me, in every way that a person can be saved." his eyes will burn on in my soul forever. and this sweater will warm me, until i see his smile again.
