Back from Metrocon...

Wooh! Finally came back from the long weekend of Metrocon. Friday was one of the busiest days I have had in awhile. Basically I woke up around 6am, showered, and left for the store to pack up the truck. Arrived in tampa around 9:30 and set-up the booth with my friend Elgin so we could be ready for the Dealer Room opening at noon. I worked the first hour of the booth to help Elgin absorb some of the "First into the Dealer Room Rush" that is experienced at every con, then left to grab hotel keys for the place we were staying at. At around 1:30, I left to return to Orlando because I had a wedding at 5pm in downtown. Of course, being I-4, I got stuck in traffic, and by the time I arrive home, showered, and got to the wedding , I was 20 minutes late! The wedding reception was great, and ended up leaving for Tampa around 9:30, where I finally went to sleep at around 1:30. Did I mention that all this time I had no a/c in my truck and had 3 hours of sleep the prior night. Thank God for Red Bull.
Anyways, Saturday and Sunday were way less hectic and very fun days. They had a 24 hour game room with Naruto and Halo, which I of course took advantage of. There were a few decent Halo players at Metrocon, but they were rare. One time, these 2 kids were talking smack on how they were going to p0wn us, but we ended up slaughtering them 50-33 in Team Slayer. Did I mention my teammate was a 7 year old? Anyways, it was a good time all around, and look forward to the con next year.
