My grandmother passed away this morning. My mother called me around 9. I guess the nursing home called mom and dad around 3am and said she was fading. So they went and my father got to be there when she let go. She has been battling with extreme dementia for the last 4 years after suffering from a series of strokes. It was time for her to move on and be with her husband who passed away in 1999. I am just so glad my dad got to be there with her. It makes me sad though. I am heading home to Illinois tommorrow morning for the funeral on Tuesday. Then back Wednesday to start classes again. It is going to be a busy week, but I want to be home with my family right now.
