A perfect circle.....of acquaintances and friends

While we aren't moving to New York, or Seattle, or New Jersey, we are moving too. It is both exciting and scary to think about not even having a floor to sleep on in Gainesville anymore when I visit. Everyone will soon have deserted this fantastic little town. But since the Muffin Store no longer carries the cream cheese muffin..I guess it's time to go.

Zane and I spent the weekend remodeling both of our bathrooms. New paint, new floor, new toilet seat. And now we know how to replace toilets and flooring. It only involved one argument regarding a hacksaw (somebody could have lost a finger!!) Now all we need is to start boxing and getting rid of all our shit. Lot's of it. Overwhelming..big sigh.

I accepted a job at the Palm Harbor Montessori school teaching 7th and 8th graders. My focus will be teaching literature and writing (perfect). I am really looking forward to the change and not having to put up with the FCAT any longer. It is going to be a huge change..but I really like the philosophy of education there and plus it is just a super cool opportunity. I am also going to be teaching classes and writing a new curriculum for my mom at the hospital. I'll be teaching little kids all about being big brothers and big sisters and what to expect when a new baby comes into the house. It will be cute I think.

Zane is hoping to get a job at All Children's in some department. Right now he is doing his internship at Shands and works the night shift for 7 days straight and then gets 7 days off. It sucks because I can't sleep so good in an empty house. I get scared you know!! I hear strange noises and Charlie will not protect me.

I am done with school for the whole summer on June 1st. I love having a job that has an end. It's sad because I love my kids this year so much and I will be leaving my very first classroom behind. But that does leave a lot of free time to pack and take the occasional pleasure cruise. ;)
