Putting a foot down

We have a little system at the scrap yard out here. There is a scaleman and he tells the customers to go to the steelman. The steelman gets up their order of steel and then radio's it in to the scaleman.

The scaleman snapped today again with a "I told you that if I don't answer the radio the first time, I'm -busy-, so just hold on a minute."

Ok, this is in front of customers and all, let's keep in mind, after all, that's WHY he's busy.

So what does Samuel, you know that you know Samuel, what does he do?

He puts into place a new protocal: that if you're busy and someone radio's in, just say "Standby" and they'll know what you mean.

It's so simplistic. Hopefully that'll make it fool-retardant too.

Anyway, I'll let you know if it backfires.
