Haven't posted recent events in a while, but I've been very busy.
Just not working. :P
Thursday: Bluesehouse KSER appearance w/Jon and Dan was a blast! Two sets of acoustic tunes. Tried out the cigar box stomp board and the shaker ring together for the first time. :) I saw the old Polly O'Keary album that we did still on the wall between Odetta and Omar and the Howlers. Friends and family listening probably tripled audience, according to Jon's early headcount. :D
Had to play chase the mic for the last two songs. :) the stand decided it had had enough and was slowly lowering the mic to the floor. :D
Was sad to drive by Alligator Soul and see it all closed down. :(
Friday Night: Went to see Kevin Selfe and the Tornadoes, and got to sit in for a couple songs. Incredible night, and more guitar players than you could shake a stick at in at one point or another.
Saturday Night w/the Tommy Cook Trio at the Oxford was fun. Great get together, and thanks much to Bill Mattocks for sitting in after his gig at the Prohibition Grille.
Unfortunately it's currently the last scheduled weekend gig until March 18th for me. I need to book gigs!
I missed hanging out with my friends at Writer's Night, though.
Sunday night I went to see Tim Lerch at the Raging River Jam, and helped celebrate Colleen's birthday! I caught up with a lot of folks including Jon and Sheri (who got me food and drink that evening, thank you very much, you two) the O'Briens, the Violettes, the Estes, and too many other folks to name.
I got to do two incredible sets with Tim, and he showed once again why he's both one of my favorites as a guitar player and as a person. Thanks for another great evening, Tim.
Today I got a call about an interview! March 9th...
The final resolution for my rent of the Bellevue apartment got resolved. Someone took over the apartment February 1st, so my total damage went from $4,400 to $285. They have their check, and I'll have to be careful, but that debt is done. Finally!
