Holy crap. Silent Hill: Homecoming is hard. We're a little over halfway through the game and we've died probably 15 times. There are hardly any health items or ammo and there's a limit on how much ammo you can carry. (What?) For the handgun, it seems to cap at 27 (3 full boxes). We haven't managed to reach a limit on the shotgun though. Probably because there isn't as much for it. All of the monsters are (at least fairly) hard to beat and hurt a lot.
That being said, it's awesome. The graphics. The detail. The dude. The monsters. Everything is very cool. It's terrifying. Alex is a badass. And there's Pyramid Head (who had better show up again otherwise I won't be too happy). So far, it's very good. I really hope we get to finish it this weekend because I don't know how long we'll be able to wait for the end. Also, I hope we don't get too lost in, well, the rest of the game because we just caught up to where the only walkthrough online is. We've only needed it twice, but still. It's nice to know it's there.
But my verdict is...YES! So far my hunches have not been wrong.
Now if only there were a FF4 release date....And if Izzy would get home from work early...
