a tale of 2 movies

I guess I should say what I thought about the two movies I've seen this week since everyone's all abuzz about them.

First, Order of the Phoenix. I liked it a lot. I had pretty high expectations for it, and I was only a little disappointed. All of the new actors (Imelda Staunton, Helena Bonham Carter, Evanna Lynch, Natalia Tena, etc.) were fantastic. Umbridge made me cringe at just about every creepy word she said; Tonks was the bomb, but I wish she had a bigger part or said "Wotcher, Harry" at least once; Luna was just great; Kingsley Shacklebolt made me chuckle with his coolness; and I giggled at Dawlish just being there, but that's just me being silly. I liked a lot of the choices they made with this one. The Ministry was fantastic, as was the improved talking head-in-the-fire thing. Overall, I thought it was too short, but only because they didn't do enough with the battle at the ministry. Really, I was hoping for some flying brains, but all I got were a bunch of teenagers seeming much more helpless than in the book and weird floaty people. But the Dumbledore vs. Voldemort battle was pretty awesome. Aside from no moving fountain. You should go see it. I might go with you because I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Next, Sicko.(Sorry, Dan. I saw it with my parents.) Go see it. I teared up a little and I don't cry in movies. It's not all doom and gloom. It did make me want to move to Europe even more though.

On a different note, sitting in front of a computer for 6 and half hours a day kind of sucks. That's why I'm doing this instead of typing labels right now. But I'm about to go back to that.

movies, harry potter
