At the library I work at, I've been working on starting the first anime club in our system. After about four months of preperation, tonight was the first meeting! We had a small crowd (but actually good for our usual program attendance), but I'm hoping next week will be better when the other libraries post our flyers (I stupidly forgot about that, and got them out too late).
Usually when we have a program, I take a dry erase board we have and put the info on it, with a little drawing that relates to the program to catch everyone's eye. I then put it outside the library door so it can (hopefully) direct people toward the program.
I, of course, did this with the anime club, too. We watched "Cowboy Bebop" today, and I decided to draw this quick head shot of Spike on the board:
Which, as was expected, some jerk screwed with it by making an "x" on Spike's face. But since I'll be erasing it tomorrow night for the next program, it's not that much of a biggie.
Next week I get to try to draw "Full Metal Panic!"!
