I just thought I'd mention that I saw my first flying bug today. It scared the crap out of me ( Read more... )

Today is turning out to be a gorgeous day! I decided that going outside and doing some yard work, might help me get rid of the last bit of my flu/cold and spent a lot of this early afternoon outside and enjoying the lovely weather.

And I think it worked. I broke up the last of the ice that was remaining on my patio and moved it to the sunnier parts of my yard. I swept and bagged the leaves that were left over from fall on the patio, organized all of the recycling that was taking over my garage, bagged up all of the yard waste that was left from the fall, and starting raking the drier parts of my yard. I'm actually feeling pretty good right now, as long as I don't take it too fast.

I think I'm going to dig out my two comfy patio chairs we got last summer and finally spray on the sealant I bought for them last summer, but never got around to doing it. I want to bring out the rest of the patio furniture, but I think it may be just a little too early.

I hope you enjoy your beautiful Saturday as much as I have been!

Dammit, I so cannot type for shit... *editing begins* Thanks for the wish for a beautiful Saturday; sadly, I spent the best part of it at work. Complete & total sadness, let me tell you.

Oh, that's too funny... I was all about getting out the "outdoor furniture," when I realized I should probably wait at least until some of the rabbit poop has been collected, and there's a bit less mush from the last surviving snowbank.

At the moment, most of the snow in my yard has melted-- but now all of the cigarette butts that never quite made it to my ashtray are staring at me, and all they do is make me want to smoke. So, they all have to be picked up & thrown away a lot sooner than my slovenly self would normally take care of things.

I'm waiting for May... I can finally get some stuff growing!

I'm glad you're feeling better :)
