The God(dess) of All Good Things

Some days are blessed, no matter what religion or spirituality you are not.
Yestereday was one of those days, for me.

I had a lovely work day.
On my way home, I stopped and bought some produce & gorgeous flowers from a woman who has leased a small parcel of land, to grow various crops, not more than 1/2 mile from where I live. She actually lives in the same mobile home park as I do.  She and her family tilled, planted, watered, weeded-- everything- by hand. She has scarecrow shirts hanging about everywhere, and apparently that does work-- when there's a breeze!
I purchased my flowers, a fresh batch of delicious "yellow" potatoes, and a huge (and I mean huge!) bunch of onions. I was going to go for some eggplant, but there was simply no way I could eat that much within a few days. I wonder if she would have taken a donation? That is, I buy the container, take what I need, and then give it back for her to re-sell or donate to a neighbor? Drat, I'll ask, next time.
Oh yes, there is definitely going to be a next time! She also had some lovely green beans... I just can't eat the entire offering, nor do I generally have gumption to properly preserve/store the produce.

I am eating one of her amazingly fresh potatoes with heavily peppered eggs right now. Oh, Lawd! There is nothing quite like the taste of a fresh potato. None of that nasty-assed crap that's sat for a gazillion months, from the store, bleah!

I took some pictors... As usual, Weasel had to thrust his ass somewhere into it. Weasel Eternal, pooping...

It rained & rained last night-- so sweet & wonderful. Smells sooo good, this morning. Also unseasonably cool, but at this point I am beginning to think that I have no idea what's going on with the weather. Feels like autumn rains.

And now, I'm off to get ready for work. I work both jobs, today. I have just enough time to race home & change. Management seems to have scheduled the closing front end shift to someone whose last day was Thursday! I volunteered to help...

Cheers & All
