What a wonderful day. It's not quite over yet, but close enough to think about moving some of the crap off of my bed so that I can sleep on it... There were a shit ton of people at Schaar's Bluff today. Something was going on at the Gathering Center, and there were more people throughout the park than I've seen any other day. Amazing. It was a bit annoying as well, as there were many screaming children running about, causing a hullabuloo, and generally disturbing my peace. As is usual these days, the parents blithely ignored the little tyrants, and I wished for a very large child whoopin' stick. Oooh, sometimes I hate children and their parents so much (and "hate" is not too strong a word)! Innocent and pure my ass! By age two children are completely corrupted, and very rarely do the parents notice until it's too late. Argh.
Anyway. I made cookies, my chili turned out fabulous (batch one, anyway), and I'm currently taking a break from trying to figure out what the Samuelson Hill is going on in the movie "Michael Clayton." I think the filmers meant well... It's just really not keeping my interest level anywhere near the top, though.
I should have re-watched "Nightwatch" or the re-watched the second half of "Man vs. Wild." Hmmm. I actually learned some skills from that show. I got to listen to a Brit talk for a while. *swoon* I also got to look at Bear Grylls's very excellent posterior. Basically, I win.
And now I get a cookie. I really, really win.
