sandman:
you try too hard.
we won't sleep tonight.
make my bed an ocean and wash my beaches clean.
if you leave your driftwood on the shore, i'll promise not to scream.
petals blink by candlelight.
a moonlit morning veils the sky.
years gone by,
waves wash away the gasoline,
another sea
another "we"
the tide has pulled its flowers back
leaving burns upon the shore.
its funny how two summers can change the world.
